Designed by J.C. Loudon, a leading garden planner and horticultural journalists, the Birmingham Botanical Gardens & Glasshouses opened to subscribers in 1832. In addition to a number of glasshouses and extensive lawns and gardens the Birmingham Botanical Gardens also boasts three conference suites catering to groups of up to 400 people.
