An academic transcript is an official record of a student's academic progress at the University of Birmingham to date. It will only include marks confirmed by the appropriate Examination Board.

It will be printed on official transcript paper and include details of all the modules you have taken in each year of study. Your mark for each individual module will be provided.

Unfortunately for pre-2002 orders there may be occasions when we do not have a comprehensive set of marks for each stage of your course.

Prior to 2002, not all Departments held comprehensive archived records for previous graduates, and as such we are unable to guarantee that a complete set of detailed module information has been retained for all former students. Whilst we will make every effort to obtain your past marks to produce a transcript, we can only do so if this information has been archived. This process can understandably take some time and we cannot always guarantee availability of all information pertaining to your course of study.

If we are unable to produce a transcript for you, we will confirm your degree title and the date that you were officially awarded in a proof of study letter degree on letter headed paper and give you a partial refund.

We aim to produce your transcript within 25 working days. Please note that at busy times, for example the start of the academic year in September/October and at end of session June/July, your order may take longer to prepare.

When you order your transcript you will have the option to add DHL delivery for an additional £30 - we strongly recommend that this be used for overseas deliveries as standard airmail is reliant on local postal services in the country of delivery. DHL delivery will also enable you to track the delivery of your order.

You can order multiple copies of your transcript, up to a maximum of five copies. You will be charged £10 per copy.

Please ensure that you only place an order for your own academic transcripts. If you place an order for documents relating to another student, we won't be able to fulfil the order.

Please note that we are unable to produce transcripts for students who started their PGCE before September 2003 as detailed module information was not available at this time. We can however offer an official statement. Please see statement products for more details.
