English Classes for Partners and Spouses 2017-18

Description

Partners’ English is open to the husbands, wives or partners of postgraduate students or staff who are studying or working at the University of Birmingham. The primary aim of the course it to develop communication skills and so the focus is on developing speaking skills. The course caters for beginners to intermediate levels. (Depending on demand, we may also be able to offer more advanced classes). Classes are held weekly and cover the skills of listening and speaking and general communication.  Everyday topics include greeting people, talking about self and family, shopping, cooking, talking to staff in medical and education services and other common situations where English communication skills are needed.

Location of Classes:
Priorsfield House, Edgbaston Park Road (See the Edgbaston Campus Map, Green Zone, G18).

Dates & Times:
Tuesday afternoons 16:30 to 18:30, 10 October to 5 December 2017.
