A Compassion Focused Approach to Education: 10 things for school staff to know about themselves and others. Facilitated by Dr Mary Welford.

This workshop is aimed at those individuals working within educational settings. Delegates may include teachers, teaching assistants, therapists, educational psychologists. The workshop will outline the way a compassion focused approach can be used within education settings.

Dr Mary Welford has been working within educational settings. Whilst she brings knowledge and experience of compassion based approaches to the educational setting, the staff and students are providing amazing insights into how the approach can be taught and infused into the educational environment as a whole.

The workshop will explore how the approach can enhance both staff and student wellbeing and ways in which the theory and practice can be integrated into delegates own educational environment.

Dr Mary Welford is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist. She is currenrly Chair of the Compassionate Mind Foundation. Mary has recently been developing the 'Compassion in Schools' program and trains a range of individuals in Compassion Focused Therapy both in the UK and overseas.
