This workshop will provide an overview of attachment theory, covering what attachment is, why it matters, and how attachment styles are assessed in infants, children and adults. It will explore the factors that influence individual differences in attachment organisation and how attachments styles relate to experiences across the life-span (e.g. childhood competencies, marital relationships, psychopathology). It will also consider the implications of attachment theory for interventions.
