Dates of Event

Last Booking Date for this Event

Bridges physically and symbolically connect places, communities and cultures; they remind us of division while at the same time providing the means for unification. This conference seeks to explore heritage of bridges –not only as remarkable physical structures connecting places and cultures but also as symbolic and metaphorical markers in the landscape.

Optional Extra: Conference Dinner at Blists Hill Victorian Town, Friday 7th July at 6pm, £30

Blists Hill is an open-air museum, one of ten museums operated by the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust. The museum recreates the sights, sounds and smells of a Victorian Shropshire town in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The conference dinner on Friday 7th July will be a wonderful opportunity to network with colleagues whilst exploring the museum after hours. You will be able to interact with Victorian characters, and visit the cottages, shops and work places in the town for a fascinating insight into Victorian life. The meal includes a full barbeque and a drink per person.
